Follow Lizzie to Ireland where she struggles with tragedy and rediscovers herself all over again.

*****5 out of 5 stars*****

Great Read!

I am emotionally drained.

I'm pretty sure she's broken me.

I love it.

Lizzie has grown up and is taking care of her new responsibilities like a pro. She finally finds herself just in time for her life to be ripped apart once again. Someone save Lizzie.

*Enter Nick*

He's a Texas-style Prince Charming....

Except Lizzie doesn't want a Prince Charming... or any prince at all... Her heart still hasn't recovered from the Irish harpie, Teagan.

There are parts in this book that made it hard for me to breathe. I still can't process... Like I said, I think Alisa has broken me... I'm feeling a little dramatic right now...

ByoB's Review of The Spice of Life: The Transformation

The Spice of Life (or #TSOL, to fans) follows Jake Furie Lapin, a 37-year-old sexaholic and loving Dom. As the first book in a three-part series, TSOL explores Jake’s transformation from a submissive, out-of-shape man, stuck in a sexless marriage, to a strong, successful, fit, loving Dom. This first book follows Jake as he describes his many sexual adventures, in great detail, to Kelli, his sex therapist.

Kelli Lemberg is a successful sex therapist who has an office-based practice in Manhattan. Like Jake, Kelli finds herself trapped in a marriage that is lacking heat and passion. Through her sex therapy sessions with Jake, Kelli begins to undergo an amazing transformation of her own, as she uncovers and explores the depths of her own inner sexuality and sensual fire.

Jennifer's Review

*****3 out 5 stars*****

This book was just not for me.

Kelli is in a sex therapist in an unhappy, sexless marriage. Deciding to look elsewhere for the physical satisfaction that is missing she joins an online dating site that turns out to being a wash. When she finally does find someone she could be interested in he ends up being married as well and becoming her patient.

This is where the story stopped being relatable and interesting to me.

From here, most of the book is just this man, Jake, recounting stories from all of his past conquests. It seemed to me the stories, especially the sex scenes, were repetitive and the story line gets choppy. It made it hard to stay connected with the story and the characters. In the end I felt detached and empty.

Jess's Review

*****3 out of 5 stars*****

This is the story of Kelli, the sex therapist who is seeking something more for her life instead of being stuck in a marriage that is not satisfying. She meets Jake, the confident man from the bar. Jake becomes her "new patient" and through his sessions with Kelli we learn a little bit about Jake's transformation from submissive to dominant.

What I did like about the story was the transformation that Jake went through. While at times it seemed a little far-fetched for my tastes, the journey made it interesting. It also seems like we have not heard all of his story. We have only learned bits and pieces of what made him into the self-assured and successful dominant man he is today. Kelli also was intriguing. I feel like she will later come out of her shell and this was just to set us up to read about her journey into self-discovery.

What I didn't like about the story was that at times the storytelling was disjointed and made it somewhat difficult to follow along. I also felt like I would want more of a particular story and instead of getting more it would switch to another story. I felt that I would have enjoyed it more if it followed a more logical telling of events and if we heard all of the parts before moving onto something else. While I was intrigued by Kelli, I lacked any real connection with her. I could sympathize with her situation but lacked the true understanding as to why she would stay married to someone like her husband for so long. The few glimpses we had into her past with him were less than ideal and made it very hard for me to connect with her.

Overall the story was decent but not my normal cup of tea. I like dominant men and am usually fascinated by BDSM, but do have a problem when people stay in loveless marriages with no real intentions of leaving. I'm not a big fan of cheating and multiple partners, unless there are specific reasons for it and I did not see the specific reasons in this case.

Jenny's Review

*****2 out of 5 stars*****

Was a little disappointed. If you asked me what this book was about my response would be "um, well, um." I mean I know I was reading because I was turning the pages. This book did nothing for me. The characters just seemed to annoy me more then anything. There is Kelli who has a sexless marriage to her jerk of a husband, who acts like she is nonexistent. They have poor communication with each other. When Jake's character was introduced I thought finally things are about to get HOT. When Jake and Kelli agreed to their sessions and Jake made his demands, I felt like saying Screw you Kelli's husband she found someone way more interesting. Interesting was was the wrong word, I didn't like Jake or how Kelli just jumped to his commands. I couldn't finish the book fast enough, it's not one I would recommend.

Nickea's Review*****2 out of 5 stars*****
*********************CAUTION: CONTAINS SPOILERS!**********************I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. With that being said I have to be completely honest. I hated this book within minutes of reading it. First you meet Kelli the sex therapist who is in a sexless, meaningless marriage that she has been in for years. She's unhappy and that's easy to see. Her husband doesn't much as acknowledge her but I find that to be her own fault as well. What type of therapist and a sex therapist to boot cant even get her own husband to open up to her? Well Kelli decides after a night out on the town with her loser husband that she is going to get onto a dating website for married people. All this because it's New Years and for the second year in a row her husband has failed to initiate any type of intimacy between them. So after making her profile and attempting to meet someone she meets no one. Most of the guys are either inappropriate or only looking to have sex. My first thought was why didn't she see that coming from the beginning. She got on a site for people looking to cheat on their spouses? So after almost giving up with the website and coming to terms with he unfulfilled marriage she gets an email from a guy that sounds genuine and honestly interesting. At this point I thought the story was going to get a little better. They exchange emails ending with the guy asking to meet up with her at a local happy hour. She debated with herself for days on whether to take the invite and reluctantly she decided to answer him back agreeing to go. He never responses after "yes" message to meet up. Typical male in my opinion. She tries not to dwell on the fact that he hasn't responded when she gets a call from a long time friend that has come to town wanting to hang out with her. Her friend mentions the happy hour spot that she was thinking of meeting up with her mystery guy so she accepts her friends plans to go out. In the back of her mind she's hoping to run into a guy that she doesn't know or even seen an actual picture of. Kelli and her friend go out and they get a few drinks when she notices a guy staring at her from the bar. She's intrigued by him and eventually makes her way over to him. they talk and she reveals she's a sex therapist and they talk about him needing a few sessions. While talking to him she finds him familiar but cant put a finger on it. For a therapist to me she wasn't at all that bright. In fact to me she seemed a little clueless. They arrange to set up some meetings but not before Jake tells her he needs her to wear specific articles of clothing for their sessions. She follows his words to the letter seeming captivated by anything the man had to say. At there first session she learns about Jake's wild weekend and that he is into some form of BDMS. In my opinion Jake didn't need therapy at all and it all seemed like a way of boasting about his sexual history. Jake talked and Kelli listened to his long winded speeches. And they were very long winded. Most of the time he was talking about how big he was or how much women loved him for what he could do.I found it all to be a turn off but Kelli surely didn't. This went on and he talked about his childhood and varies things that had happen that lead him deeper into his world of BDMS. He even told her about his own unfulfilled marriage which Kelli even after hearing all the cheating that he's done still found him attractive. Every therapy session he talked more about himself and gave more insight on who he was but by the end of the book i just found him disgusting. There is no way I would ever consider a man sexy whom brags about having unprotected sex with random strangers and people he may have known but not had many encounters with. What I really found strange was why Kelli seemed so drown to him. He was arrogant and superficial even with all the stories he told about himself be kind hearted and being able to see into someone soul. Kelli ultimately ends up lusting over Jake and all his stories.Their relationship gets weirder as they boarder on flirting and trying to keep things professional. Jake ask different stuff from her at the end of every session showing his dominance over her and Kelli willingly shows her submission with each request as she follows through with his orders. Never once have they talked about getting together but you can tell with all the directions he barks out and her quick to jump attitude this will soon be leading to more between the two of them. The book left you hanging onto a very steep cliff which i rather jump over than continue reading this series. I refuse to hear anymore stories about unprotected sex with strangers. It wasn't even hot sex.It was just blah. I will say that Mr. Lapin is a good writer. This story could be promising if he was a better story teller. So grammatically it was good but the story itself i found to be lacking. I will not be continuing on in this series.but for those brave few that do i hope they enjoy.

Jennifer's Review of Unsettled by Alisa Mullen

Lizzie O’Malley, a 23-year-old free spirit, is on a mission to find her purpose in life. In the summer of 2000, she returns home to Boston to begin a life that she can be proud of. On her first night out on the town, tragedy strikes and she finds herself the cause of the emotional wreckage. Instead of dealing with the consequences, she loses herself in a man she met that night.

Teagan Gallagher, a 22-year-old college student from Ireland, spends that same summer in Boston, working towards his degree and partying his way through the city. One night, he finds a beautiful American girl that he is desperate to spend the summer with.

Together, Teagan and Lizzie learn the ins and outs of an unconventional relationship. It isn't until their relationship is in too deep that it becomes impossible for either to run away.

****4 out of 5 stars****
Lizzie meets a group of hot Irish guys and spends the summer falling in love with one of them knowing that she can't keep him. She and Teagan spend the summer together making memories that will last them a lifetime once he is gone back to Ireland at the end of the summer. But, sometimes fate has plans that we don't see coming.

Knowing this book was written about the author's real life made me kind of wary.  I have read books written by other authors about their real life experiences and I hadn't found one that I really liked until now. This one was really good. I don't know whether to tell the author to take a bow for a job well done or hug her for living through it.

You don't see the twists coming and I could actually feel Lizzie. I felt what she felt. I could understand the things she did because I had been there and done that. I love a story that I can feel and get emotionally involved with.

This story takes you on a journey through a period of the author's life that was obviously difficult and heart wrenching. You can tell that even years later the love and pain is still there. This isn't your typical love story.

I have already purchased the next book in the series and can't wait to see where life leads Lizzie next.

Cover Reveal for Unscripted

Unscripted (The Scripted Series #1)
by Christy Pastore
Genre : Erotica Romance
Publication Date : December 9, 2014
Cover Design : Mayhem Cover Creations

“His gaze on me was intense, I couldn’t look away. I felt as if I was revealing my entire soul to him in this moment.”

The range of emotions I had experienced with Ronan felt like a topsy-turvy spinning roller coaster. Suddenly I was awake for the first time in what felt like years. Every fiber of my being was filled with heated desire, passion, lust and fear, and all I wanted was more… more of everything, more of him. How had I just lived these past few years only going through the motions?  But, as glorious as all of this was, was I kidding myself? Could it be real? Or just a moment in time – a few days of thrilling and scary excitement rolled into one? The moment before you hit that first big drop on your favorite coaster, you fall, and then it’s over.

This isn’t your typical Hollywood fairy tale where the typecast ordinary girl next door meets the famous handsome actor and they fall in love. Despite the emotional and physical scars that serve as reminders of Holliday Prescott’s past, she has evolved into a strong young woman. Ronan Connolly has loved and lost, but he’s never been in love. The weight of Hollywood’s expectations and the scripted games people play have left him bruised but not broken.

He’s always followed everyone else’s script and she wrote her own. That was until fate swept in with other plans.

This story contains sexually explicit material and is intended for mature individuals over the age of eighteen.

Life has transformed quite considerably for Duncan Peters, as he approaches his fiftieth year...
Change is very much in the cards for our hero...
We now find the natural born tactician out of his comfort zone, ‘in more
ways than one’ mentoring his two boys...
What will life have in store for our man who believes in taking Love,
Friendship, Honour and Loyalty ‘above and beyond’...?

deal him blows that he will never be able to recover from?

I'm a Happily Married, MUM of 2 very loved children. One is a teenager… so far (fingers crossed) a great one.
I LOVE Music… I should do as I am the daughter of Musicians; I was reared with a Guitar in one hand and a pen in the other.
I'm originally from London and am now living somewhere, in the Irish countryside, with cows (the four legged kind) as neighbours. We live on a small farm in a village (no I do not DO milking or anything farmy… I have nails lol).
I’ve had the big high-flying career and gave it and London. up for ‘LOVE’ (yep sucker lol) and would do it again a hundred times over to marry and have babies.
I have lived in Ireland for the last sixteen years and I love the peace and quiet that we have here, it’s a wonderful place to raise children. I do NOT own wellies (gumboots) as the city girl that is still trapped in me, won’t allow it… SO… I wear riding boots instead. I may actually be the unofficial Imelda Marcos of Ireland with the amount of shoes I own (insert Shoegasm here).
I began writing professionally in January 2013 and now I’m releasing my fourth book. I write fun, naughty, not so hearts and flowers stories. My all time favorite writing hero is Clive Cussler. I love action and suspense, which probably influences my own writing greatly; hence I’m NOT a hearts and flowers kind of girl.
I love humour and try to use it as often as I can in any situation… I think life is too short to NOT try anything new. I’m a fun, loyal person and believe in Karma, so I try to treat people how I would like to be treated… after all, it takes much more to be nasty to someone rather than just to be nice…

“What the hell did I do?  I’d gotten dirty with Chase Gentry, one of the most crass and vulgar guys I’d ever known.  But I need him.  And I hate that I need him.”

As a bookie, I know more about money lines, pay  sheets and point spreads than any six men.  I always thought I was in control until a rotten betrayal taught me otherwise.  The price was my dignity and I can’t bear to make any more mistakes.

Chase Gentry figured it would be easy to get to me.  He thought I was like every other girl, just dying to spread wide for him.  I knew it was a rotten gamble to get mixed up with a guy too smart and too hot for his own good.  Chase is destined to be as much trouble to those around him as he is to himself.  But it’s too late.  He’s already won my heart.

Everyone around us insists that we’re wrong for each other, too intense, too explosive.  Everyone might be right.

Gentry men aren’t supposed to be very bright.  We’re big.  We’re brutal.  Women can’t wait to invite us inside.  I know I can have any one of them I want any time I want.

It seems unlikely that some bad-tempered chick and her New York attitude would keep my interest but here it is.  Stephanie has no idea what she does to me.  I want that girl in more ways than I can even talk about.

It should have been enough to have her and be done with it.  But no matter how volatile we are together, it’s never enough.  To hell with anyone who objects.  I’m not letting her go.

She wants me to be her hero,
But I'm not a good man.

I am her damnation.

Jess's Review:

Deviant by Callie Hart

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I first have to say I am actually really happy I waited to read this until all of the parts are out. I love my Kindle but I feel like I would have thrown it, had I not had book two at the ready.

I really liked this story. It was a mix of suspense, dark, and erotic all rolled into one small little package. This was a super fast read where we are introduced to Sloane, Zeth and some pretty nasty characters.

Sloane is on a mission to find out what happened to her sister. As part of this mission, she ends up meeting some shady characters and finds herself some compromising situations. One such compromising situation she finds herself in is with Zeth. The alpha bad-boy who I am sure did not see Sloane coming. He silently agrees to help her find out what has happened to her sister. They are like heroin to each other, addictive yet oh-so bad for your health.

This book was hot and thoroughly intriguing. Both Sloane and Zeth’s characters compliment each other well and I can not wait to continue on their journey!

“Hope you get those fucking tears out of your system soon, pet. They're not gonna delay a damned thing.”
“What're you talking about? Delay what?” I snorted.
David jerked me against his chest, this time tighter. His hand rolled down my side, pressing my sweater snug. He didn't stop until his brute hand was clapped on my thigh, giving it a possessive squeeze.
Dangerous heat flooded me, rage and lust mingling in the dance I despised. It gave me my answer before he opened his mouth again.
No. Not there. Please!
“You're gonna do your fucking duties like a good wife, same as I'm gonna do mine like your lawfully wedded man. We've got certain traditions we respect around here, Anna. Shit means more to me than breathing. You'll figure that out fast.” He sighed, hissing hot, guttural desire onto my neck, stopping just short of stamping his lips to my skin. “Nothing's gonna stop me from fucking your brains out, love. Nothing. This little contract gives me all the rights and privileges a husband deserves, and I'm not taking that shit for granted. You can whine all you want, but sometime in the next twenty-four hours, I'll be balls deep inside your sweet little pussy. Then you'll understand. Once you have this dick in you, you'll never be able to imagine another, especially not one attached to some pissant who doesn't know shit about blood or sex or ink like I do.”
Shit! I stared deep into his eyes, searching, wondering if this entire thing was some sick bastard's joke.
There was amusement in his eyes, but it wasn't playful. The handsome psycho holding me was deadly serious.
I tried to keep breathing. It wasn't easy when the lust was overpowering my anger, one ruthless piece at a time with his hand so close to where I gushed and ached. I was coming unraveled right there, lusting after a man who filled my heart with total contempt.
He pulled himself away in one rough movement, sending me crumpling down again, clawing at the chair for support. I caught myself and stayed on my knees.
“I'll give you the day to get used to this house and screw your head on straight. Dry those bright eyes,” he said, stepping away and pointing his finger at me. “Tonight, babe, it's just you, me, and a bed. Welcome to your fucking honeymoon.”
