Jess's Review ~ Bossy Bastard by J.L. Perry

Bossy Bastard (Cocky Hero Club)
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I definitely enjoyed some of Mr. B. This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it.

Ashton, or Mr. B, certainly has a few issues. He also rules, very specific rules that should not ever be broken. That way he continued on the way he likes. Unattached and a bit of player. And then he runs into the most unexpected person he could, Emma.

Emma is a darling. She is this old soul, who is witty, kind of ridiculous, and a bit damaged. You want her to be your friend because when she loves something she is all in. She does not have the desire to handle Ashton. While he is hot and makes her smile, they are truly from two completely different worlds. Worlds that she is not in any hurry to merge.

While Emma gives Ashton a run for his money, he is relentless and stupid all at the same time. He can't stay away and slowly but surely he is breaking down those walls. And then he's a jerk, over and over again. I enjoyed the back and forth, banter, and overall story. It had a nice heat level to it and made me laugh out loud. I was interested to see how it was all going to come together and more importantly how Ashton was going to fix it. There is also this other story brewing in the background that I cannot wait for. Because the two best friends have got some explaining to do.
