Jess's Review ~ Fifth a Fury by Pepper Winters

Fifth a Fury (Goddess Isles, #5)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a finale!

After a heart-pounding finish to the last book, I was dying to get my hands on this one. And boy, oh boy, I was not ready. I had to put this down, take a breath, a few times. This was dark in ways I never saw coming. Virtual reality can be a very dangerous thing. It was heartbreaking as the time seemed to crawl forward. It was breathtaking when the pieces started to finally fall into place. It was sexy because, well, it was.

This whole series was a journey, one that is unexpected and heartbreakingly beautiful. Eleanor finds her peace and her love in a place she never expected. Mr. Sinclair, well he was reborn into who he was meant to be. I so much enjoy the pieces of her other books that come into play, just a little bit, here and there. And while you don't need to have read the other stories, having read them adds a little something.

Like all of Pepper's stories, there is a lot to absorb and a lot of moving parts. These are not a quick, light reads, they are dark epic adventures. I do hope that someday we get Jelousy's story because she plays such an important role and her story is not over. I really can't say much more than I loved it, every minute of it. I am looking forward to what is coming this summer and getting to see these characters again.
