Jess's Review ~ My Favorite Souvenir by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

My Favorite Souvenir
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a little adventure this was.

Maddie and Milo's spontaneous adventure to find themselves was my favorite part of this book. It was endearing and entertaining. Taking a step away from their real lives to live vicariously through someone else, to take them where ever the wind blew. Even though they were playing the parts of someone else, they were very much real with each other and formed this bond that seemed like it was meant to be. And the real world came knocking.

Hazel has just come off of a long time relationship that ended pretty abruptly and it made her re-evaluate her life and choices. With no help from her friend she needed to figure life out by herself, except life doesn't always work out like it should. Matteo was just going through the motions, never really getting over his past issues until this crazy red-head entered his life. He is ready to move on, with her, except again life has a funny of intervening.

This was heartfelt but packed on the giggles. There was this chemistry that you could feel between our two characters. And it was chemistry not only in the physical sense but emotional as well. This book had an interesting storyline that kept me engaged and even had a few, "well I didn't expect that" moments.
