Jess's Review ~ Nyx by Serena Akeroyd

Nyx (A Dark and Dirty Sinners' MC Series, #1)
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book and the beginning of a new series. It's been a while since I have read an MC book by someone I haven't previously read before and I am really glad I took the change on someone new.

We are dropped right into the middle of the Satan's Sinners MC. There was no easing into it Nyx, he comes off the first page as a dark and deadly soul. He does not apologize and you just must accept him as he is. He is a lot guarded, doesn't do feelings, doesn't dally with the mundane, he is fierce and he is this dangerous being. So to say Giulia's presence throws him off his game is an understatement.

Giulia is coming home with her brothers back to the life her mother left behind. To her, this is just a pit stop, something that will give her a roof over her head and some money so she can move on. Giulia is hard as nails, she is tough in a quirky sort of way, with her dry wit and pretty hands-on way of dealing with people, she is the perfect messed up partner in crime for Nyx.

They just both have to figure it out first. With new business ventures in the making and some townies causing trouble, there is no rest for the wicked. This does leave you begging for more pages and luckily I have those more pages sitting pretty on my kindle already. I liked the dark and grittiness edge that this whole MC has. One percenters with a whole lot of rough around the edges. I also really liked the POV of others that got thrown into the mix, it made for a nice touch and also made me more excited for what was to come next.
