Jess's Review ~ Winter's Arrow by Lexi C. Foss

Winter's Arrow (X-Clan #3)
My rating: 4 ~ 4.5 of 5 stars

4~4.5 stars ~ Jess

Another installment of the Sinister Fairy Tales and this one was Snow White's turn.

I really liked the way the author incorporated elements of the original Snow White into this book. Snow Frost is the princess in the Winter Sector. She has been under the Alpha Queen of Mirrors rules since her parent's passing. Being groomed to the good little Beta to her future Alpha husband until Snow learns of the plots that are in place for her future.

Just doing his duty Alpha Kazek of Norse Sector, comes to the Winter Sector for the engagement party but leaves with an unexpected guest. Kazek is known as the Huntsman and while the second in his sector he is no pushover. He never wanted to lead and has been happy being an enforcer of sorts for the Sector Alpha and then little Miss snarky, never good at commands, Snow shows up.

Kazek is all Alpha and Snow is not whom she was brought up to be. If these two aren't fighting they are knot-deep in passion. This book was HOT, very much so and usually the only place these two agreed. And by agreed I mean they were storming off and leaving the other locked away. Kazek's choices bring about a pretty eventful story. There is a lot going on, a bit of mystery, a lot of wolves, an evil queen, the secret seven, and an unexpected mating.

I have read the X-clan before and while the author gives you enough backstory, I found that I knew more about "other stuff" than I would have if I had not read it. I really enjoy this world and this author has really created this whole world that is just begging to be explored. I had never been a big shifter fan before, but I am certainly coming around to them. I have really enjoyed the way that these wolves are portrayed and how the paranormal world plays with the story. A really good addition to this series of fairy tales as well as the X-Clan.
