Erin's Review ~ The Wife's House by Arianne Richmonde

The Wife's HouseThe Wife's House by Arianne Richmonde
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Richmonde delivers a story full of suspense and plenty of twists and turns. After the the death of her husband, loneliness sets in. When three young siblings venture to her cliff side home, a hole they used to live in, she feels as though maybe they are the answer to her loneliness. Soon, she discovers that not everything is as it seems and perhaps the isolated cliff side home isn’t as isolated as she thought.

To be honest, I didn’t really connect with or even like any of the characters. I was hoping as time went on I’d grow to like the widow, unfortunately, I just couldn’t. I wasn’t very invested in her story. That being said, I was quite drawn into the suspense and finding out how everything would play out. Richmonde kept the story moving and gave us a lot to take in. Shock and frustration had me both gasping and shouting at the book. I often found myself surprised with what was happening and eager to find out what would come next.
