Jess's Review ~ The Danger You Know by Lily White

The Danger You Know (Shadow Duet, #1) My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Obsessive, dangerous, and dark. This book had me from beginning to end and held me captive the whole way through.

It is no secret that I love this author. I have read most of her books and I just can't get enough of them. This one was no different. I knew loosely that this was a stalker book when I started it but other than that I didn't much care, I was going to read it.

This was a really well-done stalker book, while sure there is something creepy about a stalker but there is something about Ari and his reasonings and just him that made it just fine. Ari is not a hero, not a good person, but his motivations come from the right place. "He looks like a mystery wrapped in sin..."

Adeline is a touch crazy with a dash or psycho and just made the best character ever. While being watched from the shadows she lived her like she gave the world the middle finger. Was she reckless, certainly but she was full of life. She has these really complicated issues that no one can seem to be okay with, except the demon in her dreams. It's when she tries to live a normal, boring, adult life that things don't go so well.

I loved everything about darkness and dirtiness that was so wrong it was right. I enjoyed our other stalker, Lincoln and would be all over that book if it ever came to pass. I enjoyed the complicated story that was underneath it all. I loved the laughs that were completely unexpected and the wildly intense way this story unfolded. You should just read it! a
