Jess's Review ~ The Life That Mattered by Jewel E. Ann

The Life That Mattered (Life, #1) My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

Tapping for more pages, trying to piece together the beginning to the end and simultaneously figuring out how I will make it until the next book comes out. That is how the book left me.

There was something fascinating about this story. I spend the whole book trying to understand the beginning, while at the same time just really enjoying the story. I laughed out loud, fell in love, swooned, had my heart broken and was completely intrigued by the twist Jewel put on this book.

I found myself invested in Evelyn's life. I became attached to her best friends, even when one can be an arrogant jerk. And the relationship she had with Ronin was something that could be felt deep in my bones. The way these four completely separate lives wove themselves around each other was something to experience. This is also the type of book you should really just go into blind. It was the type of book that you should just experience without any preconceived notions or ideas about what is going to happen. But be warned, holy mother of a cliff and I'm sitting here still trying to make sense of it, knowing I can't because I have no idea where this story is going to go next. None...like no ideas...but I want it NOW.

Superbly written and expertly thought out. I loved it.
