Life can change in the blink of an eye.

As a member of the Cerberus MC, an elite organization that specializes in the rescue and recovery of trafficked women, I've seen it happen more than once.

I've witnessed how easily a family can be torn apart from a single bad choice.

We've been too late before, and have to live with the guilt of how a few hours would've changed everything.

Curveballs with lasting effects happen.

I've learned to accept that.

But I never imagined the biggest life-altering situation of my life would show up at our door bruised and bloodied, confessing her role in a man's death.

It's a lot to wrap my head around, Unfortunately, it's not even half of the story ...

I started this book and before that first chapter was finished I was instantly a goner. It started out basically jumping right into action and pulling me into the plot. And then twist after twist kept the pages turning.

Rocker right away started showing why he's an honorable man who deserves his place on the Cerberus team. And his connection with Simone practically lit the pages on fire.

Jinx was pretty great too. He and Rocker were strangely similar and yet completely different. I actually loved their contrast.

Simone broke my heart and at the same time had me in awe of her strength.

This book went in a completely different direction than I was expecting. But in a really good way. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving away too much. I just really enjoyed reading the story and watching all the different layers and details unfold.

Marie James just continues to impress me. There are very few of her books that I haven't read, and every single one in this series has been happily a devoured. But I think I am most in awe of the fact that each book feels so very different. Every story feels very unique I love that thirteen books in she still keeps it fresh.

I cannot recommend this book and this series enough.
