Diane's Review ~ Power Term by Kennedy L. Mitchell

Power Term (Power Play, #5)Power Term by Kennedy L. Mitchell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A wild, satisfying conclusion…

On the edge of my seat! That’s the only way I can describe the opening pages, chapters of this story! After living through the incredible ups and downs so far of Randi and Trey, you know I was on the springboard just ready to dive into this last instalment. This is has been reality TV, soapy, soapy goodness of the highest order. I know, I know – coming from me? The self-professed anti-fan of all of that? Yeah, this story just compelled me to love it, and that I did. This is the last chapter and, honestly, I’m not ready to get off this crazy ride but considering the cliffhanger in the last book, it couldn’t come soon enough…

The opening pages, chapters were doozies! And the tension never really let up. Heart in your throat, feeling it like you are there kind of danger, tension and suspense… Randi was in mortal danger and Trey and Tank weren’t too far behind. Randi was a breath of fresh air in the white house but mixing it up meant people were after her. The quirkiness of her character and the humour that has been the hallmark of this series was in fine form as the darkness was cut with the unexpected. (Unicorns, you say?). Randi’s inner monologue swung the spectrum, ranging from heart-wrenching to laugh out loud hilarity. Trey continued as the more than capable ‘white knight’ with Tank, Susan and some unexpected allies at their backs.

I have to look up synonyms for ‘love’ because just one word about how I enjoyed this series won’t do. Spectacular! Some of the best reads of, well, ever…
