Release Blitz ~ #Review ~ Torn Apart by Nikki Ash & K Webster

Release Date: October 20

I’ve spent the past three years in college terrorizing the dean, also known as my father.
I’m everything he hates.

Troublemaker.
Slacker.
Gay.

But I’m only getting started.
I’m about to make Dad really proud with my newest life choices…

I fall for my best friend, Mia, who’s a freaking chick.

I’m dying to make out with my enemy, dude bro Brayden.

And best of all, I want to bone my new roomie, Drew, who happens to also be the school’s new hockey coach.

Senior year’s great.
I’m still the world’s worst human.
I’ve made all the wrong decisions, and when Dad gets wind of my newest mess, he might actually disown me this time.

But I can’t stop.
I don’t want to stop.

In typical Ashton Carter fashion, I wreck my life in the worst possible way.
It isn’t until it’s all torn apart, I realize I have a problem.
Me.

Review

Well, that was unexpected, in a complicated and messy and completely bewitching sort of way.

Told in multiple POVs we get a good picture of this messy, messy relationship and story that is unfolding. We have Mia, the college student trying to forge her own way. Into gaming, not a princess, beats to her own drum and smart and down to earth. Brayden, the jock, a little bit of a player, a lot full of himself, but has some feelings he hasn't quite worked out. Drew, the coach who has some secret reasons for being there. And then Ashton, the gay best friend and literally the sh*t disturber.

I feel like this book was able to give us a good idea about who everyone was and get a good grasp on the fact that everyone is hiding something and everyone has these feelings they don't know what to do with. I also know that there are at least 100 different ways this can all play out. There were parts that were witty and smart, parts that were heartfelt, and then some angst, there were parts that made me want to shake the characters around and parts that were a lot sexy. When I got to the end, I certainly felt the hangover. And now I am chomping at the bit to see how this is all going to come together. It's not going to be pretty and I am a little scared I might get my heartbroken. But I am ready...maybe...perhaps not.
