Shy's Review ~ You, Me, and The Secret by Elle Luckett

You, Me, and the Secret (Club Stigmata #4)You, Me, and the Secret by Elle Luckett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an excellent second chance romance. It was about Asher and Shauna (a Dom and his sub) who, despite loving each other, went their separate ways seven years ago. But when Shauna left it was with a broken heart and a secret. When they are reunited, Asher has come back with a purpose and determination to get what he feels is his. What followed was a highly entertaining read that had lots of emotion, a pretty solid amount of BDSM, and good flow to the storyline.

I liked that despite the story being a little on the shorter side, at novella length, it still felt like a full story. There weren’t any parts of this couple’s reconciliation that was left unresolved in my opinion. And I also liked that while this may have been part of a series, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything.

There were so many good parts of this story, and the only thing I didn’t like was the exact part I would imagine the author wanted me to dislike. That was Asher’s family. So, while I disliked them, it wasn’t in any way a story flaw. The only other thing I might add was that I appreciated that there was a bit more to Asher and Shauna’s separation then they originally thought. I don’t like when it’s just a simple lack of communication or miscommunication that could have been resolved had they just spoken to each other. That wasn’t the case here.

I would certainly recommend this story as a quick read to fans of a little BDSM thrown into their second chance romance with a secret.
