About the Book
I had a one-night stand. It wasn’t my first, but it would be my last.
A gun to the head.
A trained killer.
A deadly conspiracy.
Kidnapped and on the run, my life and death is in the hands of a sadist captor who happens to be my one-night stand. Armed with countless weapons, money, and new identities, the man I call Six drags me around the world.
The manhunt is on and Six is the next target. Can we find out who is killing off the Cleaners before they find us?
Two down, seven to go.
When it’s all over he’ll finish the job that dropped him into my life, and end it.
Stockholm Syndrome meets bucket list, and the question of what would you do to live before you died. The questions aren’t always answered in black and white. Gray becomes the norm as my morals are tested.
Death is a tragedy, and I’ll do anything to stay alive.
Are you ready for the last ride of your life? Six has a gun to your head—what would you do?
This isn’t a love story.
It’s a death story.
**Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only as some scenes may be particularly disturbing.**

4.5 ~ 5 stars

Dark, sexy, and wildly addicting. Six and Paisley were a combustible and powerhouse of a duo.

I actually was not going to read this book, I didn't have time but something about it called to me and I am so glad that I caved to peer-pressure and curiosity. I have never read this author before and if her other works are as additive as this then I have some more reading to do. This isn't a love story, its a story of attempts to survive and the hunt for some unknown force.

Paisley has barely recovered from the best one-night stand of her life, when she is staring down the barrel of a gun. Her life changes in an instant and she breathes only because one person lets her; the killer, alpha extraordinaire, Six.

"Because I'm your motherfucking Satan. Now, get your ass in the car before I throw you in."

Oh, yes, the brilliant bedside manner of Six is amazing and he gets stuck with the one person who can give it just as good. He is a man of few words and most of those are not nice. Paisley is snarky and sarcastic. She made me laugh even when it was not at an appropriate time. Her colorful language and no nonsense attitude was refreshing and awesome.

I wasn't in a love story. I was in a death story. There would be no one swooping in to save the day. No Superman to fly me away.

Paisley flows with her situation the best that she can, she is not free to leave and she knows her fate. The problem is she has a mouth that doesn't quit and her captor is the devil, in and outside of bed. This story was dark, there were a lot of darker elements, lots of blood and death and swearing and sex and dark humor but there was something about it that made it different, unique and not quite the same as the dark that I have read in the past. There was also a sense of the clock ticking, something unknown is looking for Six and with each passing page the mystery is getting closer to coming to light. This made the book all that more entrancing, I spent most of the book either on the edge of my seat or biting my nail. Besides all of the running and guessing and killing, this was smoking hot. Paisley and Six have this explosive chemistry that doesn't quit, ever, no matter the circumstances and it's hot, really hot.

He was Alpha and Omega. He was Six. He was the most dangerous game.

This is a standalone, but I guess I am a little curious about one of the other characters, so maybe we will see him in the future? If not I have this feeling I will going back to K.I. Lynn's previous releases to see what other stories she has dreamed up.

She spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn't until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.
Since she began posting stories online, she's garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination...or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain... Usually it's cheese.
