Erin's Review ~ The Foxe & the Hound by R.S. Grey

The Foxe & the HoundThe Foxe & the Hound by R.S. Grey
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

I don't know how she does it, but RS Grey delivers another must read romantic comedy. Book after book, couple after couple, and it never grows old. While we get more of her signature humor, steam, and heart, she always manages to keep things fresh and exciting with fantastic and unique characters.
In Anything You Can Do, we met Madeleine Thatcher, Daisy's bestie and Lucas' sister. Now the focus of her own story, it's clear that she doesn't have her life together the way she'd like to. She seemed really genuine to me, realistic. Struggling in her career and personal life but still out living her life, trying her best. I loved that about her. After adopting a little puppy that she quickly finds out isn't so little, her life more ways than one.
Adam Foxe has just made a huge life change. Recent events have steered him from Chicago to Hamilton, Texas to be close to his family and take over as town veterinarian. When Madeleine and her "not so" puppy come barreling into him, not only is he knocked flat on his back but his world is flipped upside down too. Adam was an infuriating, and extremely sexy, man. He was simultaneously charming and beyond frustrating, but there was just something about him that drew me to him.
These two together, what a ride. The witty banter, the hilarious antics, the palpable chemistry, I was swooning. Well, I was when I wasn't wanting to shake Adam. It was hard to see him struggle to open himself up. He was so focused on what he should be doing, that it got in the way of what he really wanted. The connection they shared was so obvious, and paired with Adam's internal conflicts, created such delicious tension.
