Shy's Review ~ The Real Thing by Melissa Foster

The Real Thing (Sugar Lake, #1)The Real Thing by Melissa Foster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was such a sweet, yet steamy, emotional and wonderful story. I knew Melissa Foster was a good writer from a previous book, and this one is a stunning example of what I love about her so much.

This was a friends to lovers/ second chance contemporary romance that I think everyone who loves any of that needs to read.

Zane... Zane was a swoon worthy leading man. I loved his flirtatious and dominant personality. And I loved finding out the truth beneath his facade and image. Every new thing I learned about his past with Willow made me love him more.

Willow was this sassy leading lady that was a supportive friend, and caring family member but drank and made cupcakes so basically had fantastic qualities about her. I instantly liked and connected with her.

The flow and sequence of events in this story are not what I'm used to reading. It was a welcome change however and I certainly enjoyed every minute of it.
