Jess's Review ~ Frozen Sector by Anna Edwards

Frozen Sector My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Welcome to Zombie Year 2099!

The premise of this series has a different take on what the world would look like after the Zombies come and wreak havoc on the world. In this new, post-apocalyptic world not only is the world in shambles but the supernatural are a prominent fixture.

We begin our journey in the frozen lands of the North Pole where the elves were once flourishing but now, not so much. The female elves, lead by Fraeya are slaves in the arctic while the male elves, lead by Vaegon, are slaves in the south. This was a journey to attempt to put right the wrongs that had been forced on them. Fraeya is a force to be reckoned with, strong in will and personality, never quite losing her bite. Vaegon, has been beaten down and tries to remain strong for his men.

Dark but littered with hope these two try to find each other during the worst of times and take back their land. Stronger together but a world apart, can they find a way back? This was an interestingly imagined world and I can't wait to see what the others have in store for us. This book was shorter so it made for a quick read and there was no downtime. I didn't want to put it down because I wanted to know what would happen. There were things that worked out a bit too quickly for me and I was missing a little grit to the darkness but overall I am all in and can't wait for more from this world.
