Jess's Review ~ In Fury Lies Mischief by Amo Jones

In Fury Lies Mischief (Midnight Mayhem, #2) My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Welcome back to the Midnight Mayhem, where the twists are twisted and the guessing game keeps you guessing. This is the second book in the series and I don't think you can really appreciate the setting and what is going on if you haven't read book one.

The Trickster, Killian is drawn to Saskia. He doesn't know why but it is so. Killian is not monogamous, he is not kind, he plays games and messes with people's head and that's just for fun. He is bad, all the way down to his core but he cannot stay away from the beauty that is Saskia.

Saskia was meant to be at Midnight Mayhem. She was born for this type of "job." She doesn't have many friends, doesn't really want to cause issues, not one drama and just wants to do her thing. But she soon realizes that the crew is more than friends they become family. She causes TONS of issues and becomes the center of the drama. Most of which isn't really her fault.

There is a lot going on in the background of this story that you don't even realize until much later. Things that finally add up but in a way that I didn't see coming. This was DARK and sexy and just as delicious as the last book. I really loved Saskia, I loved her sass and fire-bending and how she waded through what life was throwing at her. Killian is for sure a trickster, he is intense and fierce but there is this really small part of him that is also a big softy and he is all protector.

I totally dug all of the pages and the story and I am really looking forward to what's next because that girl is not okay.
