Jess's Review ~ Pike by T.M. Frazier

Pike (The Pawn Duet, #1) My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

It is so good to be home!

I have read all of the books that came before this one and I am so happy that we are back in this world. This is Pike's story. The pawnshop owner who deals in a bit more than old and forgotten items. He has a plan that is going to make him a lot of money and all is going well until it's not. When his nemesis leaves behind the crazy girl things are about to get a bit more complicated. As if they weren't complicated before.

Mickey is a touch crazy but a lot brilliant. She is also the keeper of all of the secrets. She has information locked away and some that I didn't even dream of. She is a really interesting character and fits right in with all of the other colorful ones at Logans Beach. She had a messed up past, an attitude, and zero self-preservation.

This was a fast-paced adrenaline rush and once I started I didn't stop. I loved seeing the cameos and like always Preppy made me laugh-out-loud, on more than one occasion. We are left with one mother of a cliffhanger and leaving me to count down the minutes until the next release.
