My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wicked Dreams kind of started out slowly for me. Other than the moments of bullying which were hard to understand with no context of why, there wasn't a whole lot to connect me at first. But it did steadily pick up and then was full steam ahead. Caleb was terrible. He's exactly the sort of guy I expect to read about in these type of books. There were barely any redeeming qualities to him but it's OK. I like what I like and don't feel the need to apologize for it.
And unfortunately Margo just came across very much like her nickname. A sheep. She allowed a lot to happen to her and I don't understand why she didn't fight or stand up for herself.
But the storyline was intriguing and kept me listening. By the time the story ended I had so many questions and my jaw dropped. I immediately wanted to read the next book which I guess just speaks to this author's story telling ability. It ends in a cliffhanger which I'm not always a fan of but lucky for me I was able to go pick up the next part on ebook right away.
The narrators for this one grew on me the more I listened. I felt Stephanie Rose did a good job and her tone was well suited for this character. She was believable as a senior in high school. Troy Duran wasn't as believable as fitting that age range, but his tone itself was good.
I will definitely be continuing this series and would listen to more by both narrators.
