From USA Today best-selling author, Willow Winters, comes a tempting tale of fated love, lust-filled secrets and the beginnings of an epic war. His chiseled jaw and silver gaze, I’ve only ever gotten a glimpse of, haunts both my nightmares and my dreams. There’s a treaty between us and them; mere mortals and the ones who terrify but keep us safe. The contract demands that every year there’s an offering and this year I’ll walk across that stage presenting myself. We have no idea what to expect if they choose someone, they haven’t in generations. The only thing we know is that the ones they take belong to them forevermore. If chosen, you don’t come back, or so the story of the treaty goes. Gather and present yourself. This is the offering… … and I… belong to him
What an excellent start to a series. But of course the cliffhanger left me wanting more.

The world building was solid and I liked how the characters came together. It was an interesting spin.

There were several points of view and intertwined storylines within this story and I was ok with that. But there was so so much left unresolved I'm already wishing for book two. I know I want it though. That's another mark of a good story in my opinion. When you actually want and are looking forward to the next book instead of just being left feeling like you're missing something amd not even interested in seeing what that something is.

I enjoyed this paranormal romance by Willow Winters and can only hope that book two gets here sooner than later.
About the Author:
Willow Winters is so happy to be a USA Today, Wall Street Journal and #1 Contemporary Best Selling Author!Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!
