Erin's Review ~ Hawk by Kat Savage

Hawk (Men of Bird's Eye #1)Hawk by Kat Savage
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book by Kat Savage and what have I been waiting for?! When I read the blurb, I was a goner...grumpy tattoo artist, single mom, cute kid - sign me up!

Hawk isn’t the easiest guy to read but he’s made a good life for himself doing something he loves. Drew and her daughter, Ava, are starting over with nothing, far away from everything they’ve known. A job opening at Bird’s Eye Tattoo Studio is exactly what she needs to keep afloat. Hawk doesn’t think the single mom is going to be a great match for his shop but he soon learns that maybe she’s exactly what it, and he, needs.

The attraction, the desire to hold back, the build, I loved it all. Savage built their relationship so perfectly. The slow and steady progression had me hanging on every word written. In addition to the romance, Hawk and Ava’s connection was incredibly endearing and added so much to the story. We also get to know several great side characters throughout the story. The crew at Bird’s Eye Tattoo are an eclectic and intriguing group. It’s clear they all have a story to tell and I can’t wait to read each one. I absolutely devoured this story and I’m already impatient for more!!
