Shy's Review ~ Good Girl by Stacy Gail

Good Girl: (A novella from the world of House of Payne)Good Girl: by Stacy Gail
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Every time I’m away from the House of Payne world (waiting for the next book to come out) I always miss it. And the minute I jump into a new story in this world it gives me the happy, coming home feelings I adore when reading a series. This story featured Lorenzo (Lozo) and Serena, a very rich single dad and a sassy pediatric nurse. While neither of these characters actually work at the House of Payne, they have a tie in so it counts. From the way these characters met to the way it all ended, I enjoyed reading their story. Throw in an energetic kid whose character is really well developed and plays a key part in the plot and it made for a story I easily and happily breezed through reading. I ended up really liking not only the main characters (which I expected to because Stacy Gail writes characters I love) but even some of the secondary characters I didn’t expect to like. There were some good twists that I didn’t see coming, and luckily, any of those moments that could have, or were beginning to frustrate me when it came to communication, were resolved quickly without dragging it out. I particularly loved the epilogue. It gave several smile worthy moments and just wrapped this story up perfectly. Overall this was a good book and one that I would recommend. Now I get to start my wait for the next House of Payne adventure.
